St. Croix Man Charged with Domestic Violence

De’von Stroman faces a variety of charges in connection with an incident in which he allegedly entered a woman’s St. Croix apartment, destroyed property and assaulted her, police say.

Domestic violence detectives arrested 26-year-old Stroman Thursday and charged him with aggravated assault and battery-domestic violence, second-degree burglary and destruction of property.

The incident occurred June 20, police said. According to their report, Stroman destroyed property while entering the apartment of the female victim without permission. Once inside Stroman assaulted her, causing bruising to her face. Stroman also damaged the victim’s cell phone.

Stroman was arrested at about 3:15 p.m. Thursday. Because of the domestic violence charges, Stroman was held without bail, pending further court action.
