Two VIHFA Members Elected to National Conference of State Housing Boards

The Board of Directors of the National Conference of State Housing Boards (NCSHB) recently elected Virgin Islands Housing Finance Authority (VIHFA) Board Members Debra Gottlieb and Alicia Barnes to its board during the Annual Conference and Showplace held this weekend in New Orleans, Louisiana.
The National Conference of State Housing Boards (NCSHB) exists to provide educational and training opportunities for state Housing Finance Authority (HFA) board members to help them govern their agencies most effectively.
The NCSHB is governed by a board of directors comprised of HFA board members from across the country. It meets three times a year — during the National Council of State Housing Authority’s Legislative Conference in the spring, at the NCSHB Educational & Development Workshop in late summer, and during NCSHA’s Annual Conference & Showplace in the fall. The board also meets bi-monthly via conference call.
Gottlieb and Barnes both expressed gratitude and excitement to be elected to this post and to be in a position where they can more effectively advance the VIHFAs’ efforts to provide affordable housing to all those in need, particularly throughout the U. S. Virgin Islands.
