Ruhle Gunter, 75, of Estate St. George was arrested Monday evening and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the V.I. Police Department.
Police said Gunter was intoxicated when he was involved in an auto accident about 10:45 p.m. on the North Side Road.
Officers who responded to the accident said Gunter failed the field sobriety test and the breathalyzer test. He was held on a $1,000 bail.
