This year marks a record for the V.I. Department of Human Services Division of Family Assistance Quality Control because it has received its fifth national award and maintained its number one status in the nation.
Quality Control Chief Carol Hay attended the 2016 National Association for Program Information and Performance Measurement Agenda (NAPIPM) four-day Conference in Reno, Nevada, in August. The territory received the United States Department of Agriculture’s Certificate of Appreciation Award for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program in recognition of the Virgin Islands’ 100 per cent completion rate in FY 2015.
This is the highest rate in the nation, resulting in no adjustments to the state error rate for low completion. This accomplishment reflects the state agency’s commitment to the integrity and accuracy of the Quality Control System.
“I am so proud of our Division of Family Assistance Quality Control team, which is led by Carol Hay,” Commissioner Designee Dr. Anita Roberts said. “I could not ask for a better team!”
Hay and her team are responsible for maintaining the number one status in the nation for the fifth year in a row. In 2011, her division received its first national recognition.
