STX Woman Robbed at Gunpoint in Castle Coakley

A woman was robbed at gunpoint Friday in the Castle Coakley area, the V.I. Police Department reported.

In a news release issued Monday police said at 11:23 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, the 911 emergency call center dispatched officers to the Penthouse Rooftop in Castle Coakley regarding a robbery. At the scene, the victim, whose name was not released in pursuance of department policy, told police she had been accosted by the suspect, who pointed a firearm at her and demanded money. The victim said she complied, and the suspect fled the area.

The victim described the suspect as wearing a brown shirt, mask and dark colored pants. He had a dark complexion, a medium build and was wearing aviator sunglasses with gold frames. The white dust mask he had over his face had a yellow filter, and he had on a tan or brown jacket. He spoke with Crucian dialect.

Officers made a check of the area but did not find the suspect.
