Wiltshire Charged with Using Gun to Assault Man

At 11:56 p.m. Tuesday, the V.I. Police Department arrested Vincent Wiltshire Jr., age 31 of Estate Lang Math, and charged him with third-degree assault, possession of an unlicensed firearm, brandishing and exhibiting and reckless endangerment.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the Veggie Plus Restaurant in Four Winds Plaza and were told by the victim that he had been at the bar when Wiltshire approached him and asked him what he was looking at. The victim said Wiltshire then assaulted him with a handgun.

The victim sustained a laceration to his face and was treated at Schneider Regional Medical Center and released.

Bail for Wiltshire was set at $100,000, which he was unable to post. Wiltshire was subsequently remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
