Cindy Maria Sergent-Rogers Dies

Cindy Maria Sergent-Rogers died on May 6.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beryl Bolling-Sergent; aunts: Iris Wilson and Antoinette Bolling; uncles:  Dennis Barnes, Elnes Bolling, Bernard Barnes, Victor Sergent Jr. and Glenroy Sergent.

She will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.

She is survived by her father, Reuben Sergent; son, Marcel Rogers; daughter, Chenika Rogers; daughter-in-law: LaDonna Love; grandson, Nile Rogers; granddaughter, Jordyn Calhoun; brother, Guy Sergent; aunts: Roselyn Griffith, Jane Bolling, Anna, Donna, Janet and Sherry; uncles: Gleston Sergent and Bruce Sergent; and godmothers: Jane Bolling, Gertalin Bolling and Yvonne Rhymer.

She is also survived by cousins: Corrine Bolling-Lawless, Judy Griffith-Phillip, Carmen Rios, Karen Wilson-Gilkes, Tiffany Bolling, Linda Barnes, Jacqueline Barnes, Yvette Barnes, Lynette Barnes, Craig “Logan” Springett, Steve “Big Steve” Wilson, Augustin “Gus” Christian Sr., Ronald Griffith, Elnes “Junior” Sr., Glen, Richard Sr., Shawn and Mark Bolling, Elmo Bernard Sr., Dennis and Eric Barnes, Roy O’Neal and James Semper.

Other survivors include special nieces: Nyisha Richards, Zenia Benjamin, Myia Khan, Shanice Wilson, J’Nyia Finch, J’Nae Finch and A’riyah Davis; special nephews: Richard “Ali” Khan (godson), Omani and Bomani Christian, and Amari Lockhart; special cousins and relatives: Bough, Moorehead and Williams families, Lorna Benjamin, Dr. Roderick Moorehead, Raymond Moorehead, Janice Bolling-James, Evelle Forbes and Keisha James; special friends: Taralyn Mitchell, Marsha Rivera and Wilma Henderson; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 4, at Christiansted Cemetery. The family respectfully requests that attendees wear a face mask and adhere to the social distancing requirements.
