Port Authority Updates Operations Due to Impact of TS Laura

Virgin Islands Port Authority on St. Thomas

The Virgin Islands Port Authority (VIPA) has provided the following update on airport and seaport operations as inclement weather caused by Tropical Storm Laura impacts the U.S. Virgin Islands:

Airports are open and operating as normal today, Aug. 22.  United Airlines has canceled its flight to St. Thomas today.  Travelers are encouraged to contact their airlines directly for flight information before arriving at the airport.

Seaports territory-wide have been closed by the U.S. Coast Guard and are expected to remain closed until tomorrow, Aug. 23.
