On Oct. 4, St. Croix Energy had released through its media team a statement saying it had engaged an environmental consulting firm to begin creating a plan for the safe operation of Limetree Bay should the group be interested in purchasing the refinery. A Source article incorrectly naming Warren Mosler and Patrick Vivot as members of the group was published on Oct. 6, based on an unconfirmed report.
The Source was contacted on Oct. 7 by Vivot’s attorney, Semaj Johnson, who made clear that Vivot was never a member of the group, nor was his business involved, while Mosler also made a similar statement on social media. St. Croix Energy’s media team also confirmed that it had not released the names of any of its members.
The Source regrets the error and would like to thank all parties involved for their understanding. The article was removed on Oct. 6.
