Work is scheduled to begin Friday, Sept. 2 on the Krum Bay-Water Island dock in Sub Base on St. Thomas, the Department of Public Works announced Friday.
Contractor Stefferson Marine & Construction, LLC will reconstruct and repair the damaged dock. Safety barriers will be implemented to minimize any hazards to boaters and personnel, according to the release.
As major work begins, there may be requirements for boaters and patrons to utilize an alternate dock, the release stated. The project is scheduled to be completed by Nov. 30 at a cost of $49,750, according to the release.
