Fire Service Lifts Territorial Burn Ban

 

The Virgin Islands Fire and Emergency Medical Services has lifted its territorial burn ban that was implemented on June 14 due to drought conditions.

The ban is lifted effectively immediately, according to the Fire Service.

The Arson Prevention and Investigation Unit will resume accepting applications for burn permits. For additional information, residents and businesses may contact the Arson Unit in their respective districts at 340-774-7610 (St. Thomas/St. John) and 340-773-8050 (St. Croix).
