Blaze Hits Wheatley Shopping Center

A major fire engulfed Wheatley Shopping Center on St. Thomas, wiping out at least one store and extensively damaging others.

Fire Service Will Revive STJ Holiday Party Tradition

The V.I. Fire Service will bring back a tradition that has fallen by the wayside: hosting Christmas parties for children and adults. The children’s party will be held from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20. The adults’ party will begin at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22.

Post-Storm Recovery Contractor AECOM Donates Defibrillators

AECOM, the main company overseeing dozens of subcontractors doing hundreds of millions of dollars in federally funded hurricane recovery work in the territory, donated seven defibrillators and seven sets of emergency lights to the V.I. Fire Service for use on St. Thomas and St. John.
