Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett will host the Ram Head plaque ceremony and unveiling at 10 a.m., Sunday, March 3, on St. John. It will take place at Salt Pond, Coral Bay, St. John.

In December of 2022, President Biden signed into law Congresswoman Plaskett’s bill (H.R. 7946) to direct the Secretary of the Interior to install a plaque at the peak of the Ram Head trail on St. John to commemorate the 1733 St. John slave rebellion.

Plaskett and the members of her team will host a brief ceremony on St. John at Salt Pond, which will be followed by a hike of the Ram Head trail and the official unveiling of the plaque.
