Jean B. Prince of St. Croix died on April 27. She was 89 years old.

She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Zamoriah Samuel, Darrius Samuel, Kesean Samuel, Brooklyn Madden, Shelden Omalho, Shaylaah Henry, Shaheliy Pennyfeather, JaQuan Pennyfeather, Amar Pennyfeather, Shahiel Pennyfeather, Onyx Pennyfeather, Shaniah Pennyfeather, Na’Zirah Armstrong Na’Kia Armstrong, Na’Kaerah Armstong, Na’Zai Armstrong, Ahmad Petersen-Payne, Ahmia Lenhardt, Liyah Marshall-Payne, Kanjah Z. Sweeny Jr., Shree Domingo-Sweeney, Jaheeyah Branson-Sweeney, Ky-Mani Prince, Sativa Prince, Kimora Creighton, La’Niah Clarke, Kaede Gibson, Kaiem Gibson, J’Sari Vining, Nolan Parker-Vining and Olivia Johnson.

Other survivors include sisters: Yvonne Prince-Phipps and Marlene Prince-Horn; nieces: Alda Smith, Alma Smith, Coreen (Latisha) Jackson, Diane A. Robles, Tijah Jackson, Carolyn Esannason, Vivian Prince, Edna Swann and a host of many others; nephews: Glenn Swann, Kenneth (Chico) Setorie and a host of many others; sister-in-law, Laurissa Prince; godchildren: Garry Ritter and Natalie Brann; special friends: Dawn Rodgers, Louise Samuel, Magarita “Maga” Heywood, Bernadette “Ras B” Williams, Allen Yarwood, Marcia Milligan, “Piggy” Turnbull, Veronica “Cutie” Jeffrey, Marilyn Fox, Asta Williams, Esther Urgent, Buelah Bruce, Judith Samuel, the Sackey family and the Charles Harwood Memorial Hospital family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 16, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
