Alphonso Emanuel Stevens Dies at 74

Alphonso Emanuel Stevens

Alphonso Emanuel Stevens, also known as “Bobby,” of Green Street, died on May 30. He was 74 years old.

He was preceded in death by his companion, Johanna Forbes; mother, Loretta Simmonds; and father, Samuel Stevens.

He is survived by his sister, Annabelle Stevens; nieces: Hollis McIntosh, Sandra McIntosh, Corrine Stout, Brenda Stevens and Sharon Stevens Roberts; nephew, Eric Stevens; great-nieces: Schanel Silvest, Annetta Herve, Akisha Carter Thomas, Akeena Pereira, Evelise Gomez, Xiamara Gomez and Shelise Roberts; great-nephews: Sean Smith, Carl Pereira, Omari Roberts, Reuben Gomez Jr. and Rashad Gomez; great-great-nieces: Neela Thomas, Yomori Pereira and Jo’hara Pereira;

He is also survived by great-great-nephews: Shadiin Smith, Tai Smith, Carl Pereiira IV, Dimir Garret and Rashad Gomez Jr.; godchild, King (Yudee) George; special friends: Roberto Encarnacion, Grace and Anna Luz Gabino, Malcolm Christian, Ligia Sextius, Maria and Angelica Richards and the American Legion Post 85 Social Club; cousins and other relatives: Edward Stevens and Raymond Stevens; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The viewing will be held at 10 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, July 8, at James Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
