The Department of Public Works and the 35th Legislature of the Virgin Islands held a road naming ceremony at the Capitol Building on Wednesday, July 11. Roadway signs posthumously honoring Horace A. Callwood Sr., Benburin “Benny” Stephens and Wayne “Facts Man” Adams were erected throughout St. Thomas.

The street east of the Windward Passage Hotel is now called Horace Callwood Drive. The former Bovoni Road is now named Benburin “Benny” Stephens Drive. Lastly, the bridge formerly known as the “bridge to nowhere” is now the Wayne “Facts Man” Adams Bridge.

DPW Commissioner Derek Gabriel was on hand to give celebratory remarks. The bill’s sponsors, family and friends also attended to celebrate the honorees’ significant contributions to the U.S. Virgin Islands.
