The family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Godfrey Emmanuel Hodge-Gumbs, who departed this life on Dec. 13, 2024.
He is survived by his beloved wife Marjorie Gumbs; children, Shakida Gumbs and Shanella Gumbs-Walters; stepdaughters, Alicia Brooks and Claudette Arrindell; five grandchildren; brothers: Hugo Gumbs, Garfield Connor, Edwin Gumbs, Carl Fleming, and Calvin Fleming; sisters, Sonia Gumbs and Janice Connor; and son-in-law, Eric R. Walters.
The First Viewing will be held on Jan. 10 at Turnbull’s Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A second viewing will take place on Jan. 11 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. at the Faith Christian Fellowship Church Alive in Christ, located in Hidden Valley. Interment will follow at Eastern Cemetery.
