Dec. 29, 2004 – WTJX-TV Channel 12/DT 44 this weekend presents joyful classical music from St. Thomas native, tenor Gylchris Sprauve.
Tune in at 7 p.m. New Years Day and again at 8 p.m. Sunday, January 2 to hear Sprauves voice soar on classical numbers, including: Silent Night, Ave Maria, Angels We Have Heard on High, He is Born, the Holy Child, Mary Had A Baby, Go! Tell It on the Mountain and others.
WTJX earlier taped Sprauves holiday concert at the St. Thomas Reformed Church.
Sprauve, an accomplished musician who resides in Washington, D.C. is accompanied by members of the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra: Alexis Sanchez, violin; Brian Array, violin; Maria Santiago, viola; and Harry Almodovar, violoncello. Sprauve is also joined by local musicians flutist Levi Farrell and pianist Rebecca Faulkner.
