Sexual Assault in the Virgin Islands

Dear Source:

Thank you so much for the well-written series of articles about this topic. Sexual assault and accompanying forms of interpersonal violence are truly a concern in the Virgin Islands. The diversity that we treasure can also be a source of misunderstanding. It is obvious that Barbara Birt put a great deal of research into this project. Readers may feel that they do not need this assistance themselves, but it is very likely that they know or will know people who do. I strongly advise printing out at least the victim service providers contact information from Part 3. We owe it to everyone involved to have this information ready when needed. Thanks again.
