Gov. Albert Bryan Jr. proudly congratulates Quianna E. E. Christian on her historic election as International Second Vice President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.®️, Government House announced Monday.
Christian, a member of the Rho Omicron Chapter at the University of the Virgin Islands, is the first person from the Sorority’s International Region to be elected to the board of directors, according to the press release.
Christian is pursuing a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a BBA in Marketing with a minor in Communication. She has shown exceptional leadership, serving in various roles within her chapter and on international committees, the press release stated.
“Quianna’s achievement brings immense pride to the Virgin Islands. Her dedication and leadership exemplify the values we cherish,” said Bryan. “We are confident she will continue to inspire and contribute globally.”
Founded in 1908, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.®️ is the first Greek-lettered sorority established by African American college women. It promotes high scholastic and ethical standards and serves over 300,000 members worldwide, the release stated.
Christian is the daughter of Linda Christian and the late Roy Christian. Her journey inspires young people in the Virgin Islands and beyond, it said.
