DOH Offers Free Flu Shots

The Department of Health in St. Thomas is continuing its outreach by hosting another free flu and tetanus vaccine clinic. Attendees are encouraged to bring their immunization card if they have one. Flu shots are given on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last. The flu vaccine helps develop immunity and lessens the severity of flu symptoms if infection occurs. For most people, flu symptoms may include fever, chills, aches, pains and coughing, while for others the flu can be deadly.
