The U.S. Virgin Islands has updated its building code. All new building permits must now follow the new code. There will be a meeting today to introduce “The Stronger Home Guide,” which explains the new code’s requirements. FEMA invites builders, contractors, other construction professionals, homeowners and the general public to the meeting. The meeting is sponsored by FEMA and the V.I. Department of Planning and Natural Resources.
