Genealogy Library to Host STJ Author

Valerie Sims has a love of family history, and it all started with wonderful conversations with her grandmother. Learning about her grandmother’s life inspired a fascination with genealogy and family history as a young girl. Sims has released her book “Vintage St. John,” which she will present at the Caribbean Genealogy Library this afternoon. “Vintage St. John” includes the history of Estates Annaberg, Mary’s Point and Lamesure during the time Sims’ ancestors owned them. Some 200 rare photographs of the Virgin Islands illustrate the book. “Vintage St. John” will be available for purchase for $35 a copy, (cash or check accepted).
