EAST Pre-Christmas and Holiday Downtown Clean Up Scheduled for Dec. 10

The Environmental Association of St. Thomas and St. John (EAST) will be working with the youth group of the St. Thomas Reform Church for a cleanup of Downtown Charlotte Amalie for a pre-holiday and a pre-V.I. Transfer Centennial clean up scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon on Dec. 10. Participants are asked to meet at 8 a.m. at the Reform Church parking lot and to please park in the Fort Christian parking lot.

EAST will provide garbage bags, gloves and water. Participants are asked to bring their weed-wackers so that areas around the Fort and Government Hill areas can be cleaned as well.

EAST wants the islands to “shine” all the time, especially right before the holidays and major events such as the upcoming V.I. Transfer Centennial.
