13-YEAR-OLD RAPED FRIDAY MORNING

Another rape, this time of a 13-year-old in the residential area of Anna's Retreat, has raised the ire of police officials, who said they will "leave no stone unturned" to apprehend the perpetrator.
Franz A. Christian, acting police commissioner, said he has ordered Police Chief Jose Garcia to pull out all the stops to end the reign of terror plaguing the community.
He called the recent rash of rapes in St. Thomas "cruel" and "savage" and called on the community to help put an end to them by identifying the perpetrator.
Though measures had been taken previously to safeguard the Anna's Retreat area as a result of a series of incidents there, Christian said they would be stepped up. He cautioned parents and children to be especially vigilant in the early morning hours when young people are traveling alone.
He asked anyone with information on this or previous rapes to call the investigation bureau at 774-4050 or 911. He said all callers can remain anonymous.
