A visitor from Atlanta was struck and killed as she crossing the waterfront highway near the Windward Passage Hotel at 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Takita D. Winkler, 65, was crossing the road with two friends when she was hit by a Ford Mustang driven by Adrian Kean, 28, of Hidden Valley #394-208.
Kean remained at the scene with the victim, according to police. Winkler died early Thursday morning.
No charges have been filed. The accident remains under investigation.
