Applications are now being accepted for the annual Tillett Gardens Arts and Crafts Festival. The event, which is part of the Garden's "Arts Alive,"series, is scheduled for November 26, 27 and 28 over the Thanksgiving weekend.
The festival is open to all artists who want to exhibit and sell their art and crafts. The event, which until this year was part of a tri-annual program, is now the only festival being offered in Tillett Gardens.
The always popular festivals have been an active part of the island art scene since 1980, bringing both residents and tourists the best in the visual and performing arts. "Arts Alive" programs for the 1999 and 2000 season include both the festival and a concert series running from Oct. through April, and culminating in what is described as a "very exciting local classical music competition."
