SPONSORS ALSO DESERVE KUDOS

Dear Source,
Your editorial on Carnival Kudos and your gesture of thanking the Committee and certain individuals, is no doubt appreciated.
However, the real kudos, recognition and commendations must go to the many corporate "investors" who signed on as sponsors of various Carnival events.
I am particularly disappointed that given the Source's apparent business savvy, you shrugged off such an important spotlight of kudos to businesses who invested in sponsorship. I am astonished, because, you, more than most entities, know what sponsorship, participation and advertising from Corporate VI means to the success of a program. Yes, there are individuals behind the scenes, who deserve thanks, but without the sponsorship investment, these individuals would have no event to put on in the first place!!
Sponsors — many of them perennial — like American Airlines, American Eagle, Bellows Intl., Coors, Heineken, Holiday Inn, St. Thomas-St. John Hotel Association, Cingular Wireless, Cruzan Rum, Premier Wines & Spirits, Budweiser, West Indies Corp., West Indian Company, Innovative Telephone, Innovative Cable TV, Innovative Wireless, Innovative Long Distance, Innovative Business Systems, VI PowerNet, TV2, Pueblo Supermarkets, MSI, and others, who I may have overlooked from memory.
Come on Source! You know better. Your readers and current and potential advertisers expect better!
