WIC REACHES OUT TO WOMEN WITH CHILDREN

July 12, 2002 – The Women Infants & Children Program (WIC) of the V.I. Health Department is conducting a territorial outreach effort Saturday, July 13, on St. Croix and St. Thomas.
Women who are pregnant, just had a baby, or have children ranging in age from one to 5 years are invited to come find out about the program and enroll immediately if they are eligible, said a release.
On St. Thomas, outreach will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the TuTu Park Mall WIC Clinic.
On St. Croix, the WIC office, located in the Sunny Isle Shopping Center across from the Lottery office, will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Applicants should walk with proof of income (check stubs, food stamp letter, or Medical Assistance card); a photo ID, and some indication of residence in the territory, such as a V.I. driver's license, WAPA bill, or Innovative Cable TV bill.
