Set sail with the St. John Kids and the Sea's Caribbean Dinghy Championships on Aug. 3 and 4.
The event will be held in Coral Bay, St. John.
Participants will vie for a team trophy as well as first, second and third place awards in each fleet.
Each island in the Caribbean may enter one team of six singlehanded sailors. The team shall consist of one member of any age sailing a Laser standard, one member of any age sailing a Laser Radial, one member age 17 or over sailing a Sunfish, one member age 16 or under sailing a Sunfish, one member age 12 through 15 sailing an Optimist, and one member age 11 and younger sailing an Optimist.
The number of teams allowed to enter is set at a dozen.
The entry fee runs $100 for each competitor, with a $10 discount if the member belongs to the U.S. Sailing Association.
The fee includes breakfast, lunch and dinner on both days, hors d'oeuvres during the Aug. 2 registration, a welcome bag, t-shirt, and a hat.
Notice of race and entry forms will be available May 1.
Entry forms are due July 1.
