Ashford Ambrose Connor, Sr., age 70, of Estate Golden Rock, died on Wednesday, Aug. 7, in Washington, D.C. The funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Ebenezer Methodist Church. Viewing will begin at 9 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be at the Kingshill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the American Cancer Society.
He is survived by his wife, Violet Harrigan Connor, daughters Joyce D. Javois and Joanne C. Moore; son, Ashford Ambrose Connor Jr.; brothers James Connor, Athelson Connor, Raymond Connor and Wallace Connor; three grandchildren and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
