Aug. 30, 2003 — Nykeba Anthony of Christiansted, graduate of St. Croix Education Complex and daughter of Evrille Hamilton, has graduated from Rider University with a bachelor's degree in chemistry.
This summer, Anthony conducted a solid-state chemistry research project, part of her ongoing research with Dr. Feng Chen, an associate professor of chemistry at Rider. Their research will help shed light on the development of nanocrystalline electronic materials.
The mission of this summer's project: to develop a better synthetic process to synthesize nanocrystalline materials, such as semiconductor materials, using a sonochemical synthesis approach, said a release from Rider University, which is located in Lawrenceville, N.J.
