TUTU AREA WON'T HAVE WATER ON WEDNESDAY

Jan. 5, 2004 – A portion of Estate Tutu will be without potable water service on Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., the Water and Power Authority announced on Monday.
The interruption has to do with the first phase of construction of the Smith Bay water transmission and distribution project to provide potable water service to Tutu Valley residents, a WAPA release stated.
Service will be interrupted between Tutu Car Wash in Four Winds Plaza and East End Lumber and Hardware so that E.D. Plumbing, which has been contracted by WAPA, can install a valve in the existing water line along Route 396 near the lumberyard.
