Orchestra, Computer Program Accepting Youths

Aug. 9, 2004 — The V.I. Housing Authority is accepting registrations for its Youth Steel Orchestra and its computer literacy programs.
The programs will be conducted on a twelve-week cycle and are scheduled to begin Aug. 16 and end Nov. 5, according to a release from the authority.
Residents of the public housing communities between the ages of 10 and 18 are invited to participate in the orchestra program. Rehearsals will be held at the Ruth Dazle Community Center in the Oswald Harris Court Community and at the Ramona Blades Community Center in the Michael J. Kirwan Terrace, Monday through Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Computer Literacy program is open to both youth and adult residents. The classes will be held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon or 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Registrations can be picked up from all housing manager's and the authority’s central office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
