The Northside Civic Organization would like to notify Northside and West End residents of a zoning hearing at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 31 in the Earle B. Ottley Legislative Hall.
At Tuesday's session the Senate Committee Of The Whole will meet to hear recommendations concerning the spot zoning of eight different properties. Various new developments are slated for discussion, including: several gas stations and convenience stores, restaurants, office buildings, retail stores and apartments.
The Northside Civic Organization does not support spot zoning and is calling upon members of the community to come out in support of their effort to make Virgin Islands law makers aware of their objections to several of the proposals.
