Registration Schedule for St. Thomas/St. John Schools Announced

March 12, 2005 — William I. Frett, insular superintendent of schools for the St. Thomas-St. John District, , announced Friday that public school registration for the 2005-2006 school year will begin May 4 and will continue through May 27.
Parents wishing to register their child must bring the child to be registered and bring the following documents: the child’s original birth certificate (US Citizens Only); passport, resident card, naturalization certificate (Non-citizens only); V.I. immunization card with clearance form attached; report card from previous schools; proof of parent’s physical address (i.e. Driver’s License, Voter’s ID, Cable TV bill, WAPA bill); and the child’s Social Security card.
Registrar Claudette Hodge, also reminds parents that students will not be registered without the presentation of a V.I. immunization cared with the attached clearance form issued at the immunizations clinic at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital.
Immunization Clearance forms are a mandatory requirement of the registration process and no exceptions will be made.
Registration takes place from 8:15 a.m. to 12 noon daily at the Education Department’s Curriculum Center located across from the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Estate Tutu.
Parents are further reminded that students entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before December 31, 2004.
Students are to be registered in accordance with the following schedule by the first letter of their last name:

Registration for children residing on the island of St. John will be held on Friday, June 3 at the Julius E. Sprauve School from 8:30 a.m. through 11:45 a.m.
