Senate Committee Meetings on St. Croix Don't Happen

July 18, 2005 – Finance hearings scheduled for the Legislature Hall on St. Croix were canceled Monday, according to a press release from Finance Committee Chairman Norman Jn Baptiste, because of electrical problems.
The release did not say whether any part of the hearings, which were to cover the Public Services Commission, the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands and the Economic Development Authority, were held.
A Committee of the Whole meeting at University of Virgin Islands campus was also canceled. According to Senate President Lorraine L. Berry, the Committee of the Whole has been rescheduled for July 21, at 6 p.m.
Senators were to hear about Block Grant Projects proposals.
