Thomas James Adolphus Gumbs is Dead at 80

July 26, 2005 – Thomas James Adolphus Gumbs died at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital on Thursday, July 21. He was 80 years old.
He is survived by his wife Vera; sons: Edmund and Elvie Fieulleteau, Anthony Gumbs, Sylvester George and Gerard Berry; and daughters: Roslyn Honore, Pearline Prentice, Irma Fieulleteau, Cynthia Gumbs-Wallace and Eunice Gumbs-Berley. He is also survived by a brother, Robert Flemming; and grandchildren: Wendy, Diane, Edmond, Otis Thelma, Angela, Vera, Kirk, Junior, Edmund, Sherisse, Phedencia, Abu, TyShawn, Osei, Bria and Bry'Nice. Other survivors are seven great-grandchildren, and many relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 29. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at Midland Wesleyan Holiness Church. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
