Ninth Annual Beacon Schools Celebrity Auction, Dinner and Golf Tournament

July 27, 2005 – The Beacon Schools of the Virgin Islands will be hosting its Ninth Annual Celebrity Auction at a dinner on Saturday, Aug. 6, at 6 p.m., at Marriott's Frenchman's Reef. The celebrities attending both events will include players from the NBA, NFL, MLB, as well as actors from stage, screen and television, according to a press release from the Beacon Schools V.I. They are listed below with their handicaps.
Auction items will include sports memorabilia, weekend golf packages on the mainland, hotel get-away weekends, jewelry, service packages, dinner certificates and much, much more. There will be live entertainment by tenor Michael Amante, who sings both Broadway show tunes and Italian classics, and Yewande, who weaves rock, blues and jazz into her unique vocal styling.
On the following day, Sunday, Aug. 7, the Beacon Schools will hold its Ninth Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament at Mahogany Run.
Major sponsors for the weekend's events include: Alliance Management Partners, LLC, American Airlines, Prosser/ICC Foundation, Millard, Davis, KMB, Horizon Fuel and Financial Services, FirstBank, Mahogany Run, Marriott's Frenchman's Reef, Havana Blue, Ritz-Carlton—St. Thomas and Ritz-Carlton Club.
