Community Alert: Curriculum Center Hours Interrupted

Aug. 10, 2005 — The St.Thomas-St. John District Curriculum Center's hours will be modified Thursday due to a sewage problem. Personnel assigned to the center are directed not to report to work until noon. All others, including parents registering children for school, are advised not to come to the center until 1 p.m.
"The offices at the Curriculum Center will be closed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, Aug.11," Noreen Michael, Education commissioner, said in a release from the department Wednesday evening.
"A problem with the sewage system occurred late Wednesday afternoon, and the department's maintenance crews immediately began working to rectify the problem," Michaels said, adding that the problem had been identified and all work and cleanup efforts would be completed Thursday morning.
