VIWMA to Hold Meetings on New Rules

Feb. 28, 2006 – The Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority invites members to attend two important meetings for waste haulers that will educate them on new rules and regulations instituted at the territory's landfills and wastewater treatment facilities for the acceptance and disposal of waste.
The meetings will be held on:
St. Croix, on Wednesday, March 1, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Gertrude's Restaurant
St. Thomas-St. John on Thursday, March 2, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Palms Court Harbor View
Persons or companies that dispose of waste at VIWMA facilities are encouraged to attend. This includes anyone who would dispose of bulk waste, scrap metal or other waste at the territory's landfills or wastewater treatment plants.
