UVI to Host CaRA Stakeholders Workshops
The Caribbean Regional Association for Integrated Ocean Observing Systems will host a series of workshops to introduce themselves to people who live by the sea, work on the sea, travel by sea and eat from the sea. The goal of these stakeholder workshops is to open a dialogue among organizations and individuals whose interests or ventures will benefit from easy access to ocean related data.
Workshops will begin on St. Croix, June 12. They continue on St. John, June 14, at the Nazareth Lutheran Church Parish Hall. The final workshop is scheduled for St. Thomas. All workshops take place from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
For more information about the association or the upcoming stakeholder workshops, contact UVI's Elizabeth Ban at 642-4290 or eban@uvi.edu, or Prof. Roy Watlington at 693-1391or rwatlin@uvi.edu.
