Local Barbadians Will Host NABO for Eight Days

June 9, 2006 – The Barbados Association of St. Thomas-St. John will host the National Association of Barbados Organization for its 13th annual conference, which will run from June 27 through July 4, on St. Thomas.
Barbados Deputy Prime Minister Mia Mottley will deliver the keynote address at an appreciation banquet to be held at 7 p.m., on Sunday, July 2, at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Beach Resort and Spa. She oversees economic affairs, development and public investment programs on Barbados.
NABO is a non-profit corporation formed for the purposes of coordinating the activities of its 13 Barbadian membership organizations. Among its goals are the preservation and promotion of Barbadian cultural heritages, the advancement of the Barbadian people and providing forums for communication among different Barbadian and Caribbean communities residing in North America and the Caribbean.
