Aug. 31, 2006 – "The Waking Life" directed by Richard Linklater will begin Spiritual Movie Night at Pistarckle Theater. Spiritual Movie Night will be presented the first Tuesday of each month.
Dreams. What are they: an escape from reality or reality itself? "The Waking Life" follows the dreams of one man and his attempt to find and discern the absolute difference between waking life and the dream world. While trying to figure out a way to wake up, he runs into many people on his way; some offer one sentence asides on life, others delve deeply into existential questions and life's mysteries.
The film will be shown at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at the Pistarckle Theater in Tillet Gardens. It is rated R for language and some violent images and is 1 hour and 37 minutes long. Cost: donations only. There will be a discussion after the film.
