Freedom Walk Will Commemorate September 11

Sept. 7, 2006 – Monday, Sept. 11 is the fifth anniversary of the September 11 attacks against the United States. St. Croix will join cities across America to host an "America Supports You Freedom Walk." It will begin at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, Sept. 11, at the Bassin Triangle, across from the police station, and travel down King Street to the Myron G. Danielson American Legion Post Headquarters in Gallows Bay.
The American Legion District No. 10 sponsors the event. The purpose of the walk is to establish a national tradition to reflect on the lives lost on September 11, renew our commitment to freedom and the values of our country, and to honor our veterans, past and present.
For more information, please contact the Legion at 773-0345.
