Labor Department Will Close for Staff Training

Sept. 26, 2006 The Virgin Islands Department of Labor will be closed on Thursday, Sept. 28 on St. Thomas and Friday, Sept. 29, on St. Croix. It will be conducting professional workshops for its employees to culminate Labor Awareness Month.
The staff will engage in seminars and workshops focusing on customer service, career development and motivational techniques, according to a press release from the Labor Department.
The department apologizes for any inconvenience. Normal operations will resume on Friday, Sept. 29, on St. Thomas and on Monday, Oct. 2, on St. Croix.
