Dear Source:
It is very unfortunate when the mud slinging stoops to a level not fit for a cesspool. This year the Virgin Islands has been blessed with talented, intelligent candidates that have the ability to project real campaign objectives and the method in which they will carry out these objectives.
Dejongh is a more than capable candidate with the business, and people skills to turn these Islands around. Why at the final hours of a fine campaign run by him and his staff, and candidate Mapp, and other candidates would anyone want to reach so deep into dirt to smear any of the candidates?
The response to this smear campaign is what is encouraging. Instead of picking up the tone of this nonsensical trash, the public seems to be showing their disgust for this unsavory type of editorial trash.
There are some NEW BREEDS in town; they are Virgin Islanders, that care, are capable, competent, and ready to serve, and that is a GREAT THING for our Islands. Let's hope this hiccup is just that and everyone will vote for the candidate of their choice based on the facts and not this Halloween type fiction story.
