Nov. 2, 2006 – The 24th Veterans Day 5K will be run at 9 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the University of the Virgin Islands St. Croix Campus.
The V.I. Pace Runners/4-H Cross-Country Veterans Day 5K includes a one-mile race for the top four elementary school boys and girls, a 2-mile race for the top four junior varsity boys and girls, and a 5K race for the top four varsity boys and girls from St. Croix and St. Thomas/St. John. They will be selected based on their performances in the three previous races in the series. In addition, the 5K race is open to all male and female runners competing for the V.I. Championships.
Awards will be presented to competitors in the interscholastic, open and masters categories.
