What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

Nov. 14, 2006 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 19. This Sunday we will feature The Who, I See Hawks in L.A., Marvin Gaye, Angelique Kidjo, Anna Cheek and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Endless Wire," the first CD of new studio recordings by The Who in over 25 years. The CD is priced as a single CD, but also includes a bonus DVD, which has five live in concert songs that the Who recorded in Lyon, France.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "California Country," the second release from the band named I See Hawks in L.A. The band has a rocking alternative country sound with well-written original songs.
We celebrate the birthdays of blues guitarist Chris Cain; sax man Fred Lipsius from Blood, Sweat, and Tears; Motown guitarist Robert White; and original Kingston Trio member Dave Guard. We also remember rock producer Terry Melcher on the anniversary of his death.
We include music from Hudson and the Hoodoo Cats, who will be playing in the Virgin Islands at various venues from Nov. 14 to 28. We also include music from Anna Cheek, who will be playing in the Virgin Islands in December, and music from blues artist Otis Taylor, who will be performing at Tillett Gardens on St. Thomas on Jan. 24. We also feature the music of Angelique Kidjo, who will appear at the Reichhold Center on Jan. 13.
We play new music from the Ford Blues Band, Jim Lauderdale, Corb Lund, John Gorka and more.
We also include music from the Byrds, Marvin Gaye, B.B. King, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, and more.

Tune in for a chance to win a copy of a CD of great traditional folk songs by Pete Seeger and an opportunity to win the new release from New Orleans Dirty Dozen Brass Band, which is a tribute to Marvin Gaye's classic "What's Going On" CD.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
