July 17, 2007 – Herbert Wilburn Fleming, also known as "Herbie" or "Herb," died at age 77, at his residence in Estate Whim, St. Croix. He is survived by his wife, Delight Fleming; daughters: Lila, Linda Lewanna, Laverne and Lana; and sons: Lonnie, Greg and Lester. He is also survived by brothers: Leopoldo Fleming and Jimmy Fleming; and sister, Luna Claxton. Other survivors include many nieces and nephews, especially: Lawrence Sewer, Al Joseph, Warren Claxton, Leopoldo Fleming Jr., Stephanie Landsmark, Bernard Hart, Carmen Void, Ray Fleming, Gino Fleming and Miriam Fleming; grandchildren; and many other relatives and special friends too numerous to mention.
A memorial service will take place at 6 p.m., on Thursday, July 19, at James Memorial Funeral Home Inc., located at 6AA La Grande Princesse. He will be cremated following the service.
